Welcome to Our Farm stall & Café

At our Farmstall, we sell goodies from our travels to Africa. Whatever our eyes catch, that we like, touch and bring with us… We wish to inspire to new cooking experiences, and the joy of cooking over fire. We offer tastings of all our popular sauces & spices. Our wonderful cast-iron pots (potjies) sell themselves in their beauty. Our colourful ceramics makes you happy. And there is genuine African handicraft in wood, textiles & soapstone, baskets…and much, much more.

Our Café is a green oasis under roof where guests seat themselves wherever they want to, and they are served goodies on a tray. Our speciality is Nomsa’s bread & moist cakes baked over a fire in cast iron pots. Our own coffee Freshly Ground Arabica, from small farms in i Africa, gets a lot of credit, as well as our organic bushtea in seven different varieties. The Café also offers exotic fruits juices, and if time allows, freshly squeezed orange juice. Sorry, no wifi here …but lots of enjoyable chats with our guests! African tradition says that ’guests deserve the best’, therefore we only use real butter, organic eggs, and ice cream made from real vanilla & cream. Come and enjoy! The Café is open when the Farm Stall is...

This is how we bake…

Many people wonder how we do it - and how does it taste so fantastic? A well buttered bakepot, only the best ingredients, a warm fire with hot coals. Add some attention, a little patience & MUCH LOVE. Our moist cakes are baked for an hour & made with real butter, organic eggs & bananas (one). Icecream made with real vanilla & cream. There is also a milkfree option. Nomsa’s bread, perhaps the most popular, rises an hour, and is baked for about an hour - it all depends on the fire. In Nomsa’s world, baking is an art expression. It should take time – if only the result is good! We don’t meet Nomsa very often but always have a great time together
