Come and cook in our African outdoor kitchen, Baobab Kitchen! Enjoy life, get your family or friends together or bring your colleagues to this joyful, relaxing experience, inspired by vibrant colours, aromas, succulent flavours and an African beat. We welcome pre-booked parties from 10 to 30 persons, from Mid-May to first weekend of October. The times available for booking of Baobab Kitchen will show in our Calendar.
In the Baobab Kitchen, you cook and bake over a fire in African cast-iron pots and enjoy togetherness in the light of a crackling fire and oil lamps. We?ve done all preparations. Now the fun starts! You can help out as much as you like. We promise it will be tasty!
Select your own dishes from many African countries and combine as you like. Our passion is to offer flavours that vibrate of the African joy of cooking over fire. Allergies, vegetarian meals or special requests? We will help you to design a menu that will suit everyone. You can bring your own drinks to the cooking and to the supper.

The whole evening will be a journey through African foods and dances – brought to you by our friend and dancer Cosmos Azoba, introducing rythms and music from West Africa. We will cook a lovely meal together over fire.

Register via info@taste-africa.com (tell us about any food preferences or allergies). The registration fee is 500 SEK per person (children under 15 years 300 SEK, children: 0-5 years come free). You will get your registration fee back if you cancel at least 2 days before the party. If you cancel later you will get half the registration fee back). Pay via (plusgiro: 408332-5, bankgiro: 518-8768, Swish to Åsa at 0702642109 also works). Enter your name (NB important!!) and phone number/email address.
When you arrive at the party, you pay an additional 150 SEK or other voluntary amount for the entertainment & party. We want as many as possible to take the opportunity to come or return to the anniversary parties, so we will keep the price level the same as it was ten years ago…
We are creating a menu that suits everyone! Non-alcoholic bubbly is included! You can bring your own drink of choice.

We invite you to themed parties in 2026!
Themed party with AFRO DANCE theme — August 14, 6:00–10:00 PM (11 PM) We will prepare wonderful African food in Baobab Kitchen. The entire evening will be filled with dance and music, with an extra special touch from our friend, dancer Cosmos Azoba, who will take you on a journey through rhythms and music from West Africa.
Anniversary party with SALSA theme — August 21, 6:00–10:00 PM (11 PM) We will cook and bake together in Baobab Kitchen. The whole evening will be infused with music and food from the Creole kitchen, and we'll dance salsa on the lawn!
The parties start at 6:00 PM, but come as early as you can — 6:00 (7:00)–10:00 (11:00) PM. Groups will be mixed with everyone who registers. All guests cook together and get to enjoy the wonderful food prepared over the open fires.
